It has been a long, long, LONG time since I have blogged... seven years as a matter of fact! (or since Dec. 2006... either way, it's been a while!) Any who, I have had a heck of a time trying to log in and change emails, yada, yada, so I'm not sure this is even going to work, so here it goes!

Pictures unrelated to post

This past weekend was my birthday and one of the festivities included going to the Colts/Bills game. It was our first Colts game. We had great seats... 15th row behind the bench. The RCA dome is so small compared to the RayJ! It could almost be described as intimate. (I took some pictures with my phone and hopefully I'll figure out how to post them at a later date.)
Okay, the thing that was sooooo different from any other sporting event I've ever been to? The crowd was soooo polite! When the Colts had the ball, the entire dome was hushed... I could hear Peyton plain as day! I even called my sister during a Colts drive and had no problem hearing her! When the Bills had the ball, the dome got much louder, but really not so bad. (and other teams have complained that they "pipe" in crowd noise... oh please, a room full of 2 year olds is louder!) And I don't know if any of you saw the game, but it was ugly. The Colts won, but only by one point and the grace of God... they played awful! You would think that the fans would voice their displeasure with the teams performance, right? Believe it or not, there was not one collective "boo" until the end of the fourth quarter when it looked like they might lose. I couldn't believe it! In Tampa, the crowd would be booing after the 2nd bad play!
And lastly, but the real kicker... the owner of the Colts sent a letter to the season ticket holders complaining about the fact that some fans stand throughout the whole game and that fans should not get intoxicated. I think it's great that he sent the letter, but I don't think the same thing would fly over too well in Tampa.
It's not that Indiana is so religious or conservative (well, maybe conservative)... it's just a weird place!

My sweet itty bitty girls

My recent prayer has been patience; Patience with my girls. They are so special and smart and I have high expectations for them, and that, unfortunately tends to make me a little tough on them. Pictures like these help me remember that these moments are fleeting and to cherish every moment of these young lives... even if they are back talking or throwing up on me. I love my girls a so very much!!!!

If the chiggers weren't bad enough...
I am still recovering from my 50 chigger bites - (thankfully the itching has stopped! I now just have scars;) and guess what happened to me? I was stung by a wasp. Normally this would not be such a big deal, except that the last time I was stung (about 10 years ago) I had a strange reaction... I basically shut down, passed out, went to sleep. So when it happened this time, I freaked out. I immediately took a Benadryl (which doesn't help one stay awake!) and put charcol on the site. I put the kids down for a nap and called my husband. Since I wasn't having any trouble breathing, I thought I'd be okay, I just took a really long nap. Well, the next day I took more Benadryl, but my leg was starting to swell ALOT and burn and itch at the same time. By Thursday night, I know I was going to the doctor the next day. My blood pressure was up, my heart was racing and I overall felt like C-R-A-P. So now five days of being on Predisone and a Epipen later, I'm starting to feel human again! What I horrible experience it's been and I hope to not be stung again... but of course, we're moving into bee season up here and it won't end until the first freeze... maybe if stung again, I'll gain super human strength like Spiderman!

A month later...
Hi people of the world!
Much time has past and I'm feeling guilty about not blogging in so long.
A lot has been going on, but instead of writing it all down, I'm just going to post pictures... (yes, I'm lazy, but I have a headache right now.)
I will say that my pathology came back ok (yea!), but we still don't have a final verdict on the trees (boo). The next meeting will be Sept 5th, so keep praying that the committee members will have godly wisdom and hopefully move the road away from our trees!
Oh, since the last post, I was attacked by chiggers and received 50 (I am not exaggerating) bites! I would love to have posted a picture, but it would be indecent. I've decided that chigger bites are probably one of the torments in hell.
